Origami is the traditional Japanese art of paper folding.  It started in Japan, in the 17th century and became popular outside of Japan in the mid-1900s. It has since evolved into a modern art form. The goal of this art is to transform a flat sheet of paper into a finished sculpture through folding and sculpting techniques.

Our Origami Butterflies are handmade from pieces of vintage Kimono fabric left over from the beautiful Kimono lampshades we have been making over the years, backed with a plain silk and finished off with a magnet. This then can be attached to lampshades, curtains or blinds.

Each pack is unique and not necessarily same as the pack featured.  If a particular pack is not available, you will be offered an alternative.  Plenty of variations to choose from, so please contact us if you want to know more or have a specific requirement.
